Rob Kinzle

Rob Kinzle has more than 17 years experience in manufacturing operations and consulting, with focused expertise in design for both aerospace and consumer products. He brings a broad and thorough understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly including selection of materials, processes and design specifications for manual and automated assemblies. In 1997, he was awarded a US Patent for Innovative Design of Extended Magazine for Firearms.
As a private consultant he assisted manufacturers with product development services including concept development, product design, tool design and prototype development using SolidWorks & COSMOSWorks. He has analyzed existing processes and provided improvement advice including equipment and material sourcing as well as best engineering practices including DFMA, CAD techniques, and data management.
Rob joins the MilTech program to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of technology transition to the Department of Defense. The program is jointly operated by the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center and TechLink.
Rob has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Montana State University.
