Laurel Halfpap is a senior technology manager with over 12 years of experience in managing, marketing, and licensing intellectual property. She brings broad experience in business, science, and intellectual property as well as depth in developing biomedicine and biotechnology licensing opportunities.

Laurel’s recent experience includes positions as assistant director and senior licensing associate for the Oregon State University Office of Technology Transfer where she was responsible for evaluation of commercial potential, patentability, and marketing of invention disclosure in the life sciences, computer software/multimedia, and plant variety protection areas. Previously, she held the position of licensing associate for the University of Minnesota. Industry and research experience includes positions with the Advanced Science and Technology Institute and Epitope, Inc. in Oregon, and Zymogenetics, Inc. in Washington.

Laurel holds both an M.B.A. and an M.S. in public health from the University of Washington. Her B.S. in microbiology is from Kansas State University. She is affiliated with AUTM.
