Will Swearingen

Dr. Will Swearingen, Director, helped to found TechLink in 1996 and has played a key role in transforming TechLink into a nationally recognized center. Will has over 20 years of experience directing technology transfer and R&D programs. Besides managing TechLink, Will served as the leader of a National Science Foundation-funded “Partnerships for Innovation” project, from 2002-2006, which played a key role in starting up 12 new technology firms. He has extensive, hands-on experience brokering technology transfer agreements for both DoD and NASA. Will has an MA degree in geography from Durham University, England, and a PhD in geography from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University. Will is a member of LES.
